Again and again, the question is whether the use of the Proffisy cartridge / toner cartridge (or any third party cassette) will invalidate the printer's factory warranty. The answer is No.
The use of third party cartridges and toner cartridges (including Proffisy cartridges) will not affect the printer's warranty. Many consumers believe that their printer can only use ink and toner supplied by the original manufacturer.
It's like IKEA asking buyers to use IKEA brand tools to assemble IKEA brand furniture. A more appropriate example might be DELL asking you to use DELL brand mouse or USB thumb drive on one of its computers. The federal government requires manufacturers to retain their guarantees, regardless of whether the owners use the first party or third party peripherals and collateral.
This is due to the 1975 MAG enomon Moss warranty, a federal law made by Senator Warren Magnuson and Congressman John Moss, which stipulates the national standard for product warranty. Magnuson-Moss law prohibits manufacturers from introducing the "collocation" provision - which means that the manufacturer can't invalidate the owner's warranty because he or she uses the normal functional components made by other companies.
